International & Practical Experience
Offering Hands-On, Career-Relevant Skills
Hands-on international experience is a definitive element of our educational approach. Through internships, cross-disciplinary courses, research and experiential learning—at DU and around the globe—we ensure you have the opportunity to receive the practical experience you need to thrive.
Our degree directors are focused on creating educational experiences that address real-world challenges. The School is home to a number of research centers, institutes and clinics that allow students to gain valuable research and internship experience. We also encourage you to study abroad and learn a foreign language to widen your cultural perspective and articulate solutions with regional stakeholders.
We also help identify employment opportunities in your area of expertise. Actively mapping your career early on allows you to pinpoint and develop skills that your ideal employers specifically seek. Furthermore, many of our staff, faculty and visiting professors are actively engaged in the field and offer career-focused guidance to current students and alumni.
Studying abroad is a requirement for most Korbel programs, allowing us to offer a truly international education.
