Research & Faculty

Connecting Students to Global Experts

Our faculty combine their individual research interests with a deep collective investment in students' intellectual development. Many faculty members have worked on the global stage, and they translate that experience into research and academic programs that reflect the international challenges of our time. This educational approach allows us to provide our students with the real-world knowledge and skills necessary to support the common good.

We're also home to research centers, institutes and clinics that deepen our commitment to integrating teaching, research and practical problem solving. Our various campus research institutions offer students the opportunity to work alongside a global network of scholars, practitioners and experts to produce research that fosters peace, justice and cooperation across the globe.

Graduate Student Research

Korbel is home to numerous research projects designed to discover how we can affect positive change and improve international relations. We actively involve student research program assistants in projects working to address issues of international security, diplomacy, country forecasting and other international matters within the academic, public and policy spheres.

Korbel research is supported with the help of over 170 graduate student research program assistants. Research program assistants work closely with faculty to produce policy-relevant research and reports.

As a student, you'll have the opportunity to play a crucial role in researching, developing and analyzing new data. This intellectual exchange will advance your skills and knowledge while strengthening research outputs.
