This project was motivated by my interest in the environment and how the degree of urbanization of an area impacts the native and non-native species. I hope this gives an insight on how Russian olives and peach leaf willows are impacted by varying degrees of urbanization. I approached this problems form as position of wanting to learn more about how factors such as urbanization impact how advantageous a species now becomes within its environment. From the collected data, it was found that leaf dry mass content can be impacted by the level of urbanization of the environment. For more species where urbanization can be advantageous, leaf dry matter content (LDMC) may not be significant impacted by changes in urbanization levels. For other species, in response to a more urban environment, LDMC decreases.
