Analysing the Long-Term Socio-Economic Impacts of COVID-19 Across Diverse African Contexts

This project is part of the Pardee Center’s long-running collaboration with UNDP. This report examines the effects COVID-19 will have on macro-economic development in 10 African countries by 2030 and 2050. It explored the social and economic aspects of the pandemic in Africa by documenting and analyzing the entities, interactions, impacts, and pathways for determining costs, scale, and duration of COVID-19 in Africa. The report presents the multifaceted economic and social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic across Africa, including on human development indicators, economic interdependence, and growth and resilience patterns.
