Examining Ugandan Development Trends with the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC)

January 01, 2021

In collaboration with Uganda’s Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), the Pardee Center provides analytical support for long-term strategic planning in Uganda using a structured framework for thinking about development patterns. Components of this collaboration include collecting data and using the International Futures (IFs) model to examine development at a district and regional level in Uganda and extending the IFs model to forecast the effects of early marriage age on development. EPRC and the Pardee Center will collaborate on a Ugandan Development Trends Policy Series to explore a variety of issues, including the effects of COVID-19 and the impact of early marriage age in Uganda. Results will be available to explore in an interactive online portal. Analysts at EPRC are participating in an extended training course on the IFs model and a broad group of stakeholders will be convened for a workshop next year to discuss the Policy Brief findings.
