About Us

The ICRS Latin America Center (LAC) supports and coordinates educational, research, policy and cultural activities related to Latin America and international relations between North and South America. The LAC core faculty, staff, and students work to connect the various individuals and organizations on campus that are pursuing research, education and cultural activities related to Latin America. The goal of these efforts is to provide comprehensive training for DU students and faculty.

Colorado is in the heart of the American West and has historic ties to different parts of Latin America. Denver also boasts vibrant Native American and Latino communities and is home to consulates of Mexico, Guatemala and Peru. The Center continues to build on this historic and geographic connection by maintaining an active research agenda on contemporary issues in Denver and in the Latin American region.

Acerca del Korbel LAC

El Centro promueve y coordina actividades de investigación, política, educación y cultura relacionadas a América Latina y las relaciones internacionales entre Norte y Sur América. El Centro, sus académicos, el personal y sus estudiantes trabajan para conectar a los individuos y organizaciones en el recinto universitario que llevan a cabo investigaciones, actividades educativas y culturales relacionadas a Latinoamérica.  El objetivo de estos esfuerzos es proporcionarles a los estudiantes de la Universidad de Denver y su facultad capacitaciones de peso, enriquecedoras y con sensibilidad cultural.

Colorado es el corazón del oeste de los Estados Unidos y tiene vínculos con diferentes partes de Latino América. Denver orgullosamente posee comunidades dinámicas de Latinos e Indígenas Norteamericanos, donde los consulados de México, Guatemala y Perú tienen sedes. El Centro continúa fortaleciendo su conexión histórica y geográfica por medio de investigaciones sobre temas contemporáneos en Denver y en la región Latino Américana.
