Dr. Archer received his Ph.D. in International Politics & Economics with a concentration in International Political Economy from the University of Denver. He began his career in 2000 as an assistant professor of International Studies at Point loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California. While at Point Loma, Dr. Archer co-founded the Office of International Studies and served as its first Director. He also created the University's first major in International Studies and led numerous academic study trips around the world.
Dr. Archer has been at the University of Denver since 2006 and currently serves as the Assistant Dean for External Programs and as a Teaching Professor at the Korbel School of International Studies. Dr. Archer teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on Crime & International Politics, US Foreign Policy, and International Political Economy. When he's not traveling or teaching he enjoys, skiing, golf, fly-fishing and spending as much time in a sauna as is humanly possible.
