Dual Degrees

Available Degree Programs

The Korbel School offers dual degrees in collaboration with two other campus units. To apply, you must submit separate applications for each program through a single account. Admission to both programs is required to pursue a dual degree.

Our dual degree options are available for the following programs:

  • Master of Arts in International Development
  • Master of Arts in Human Rights
  • Master of Arts in International Studies
  • Master of Public Policy
In tandem with:
  • Master of Social Work through the Graduate School of Social Work
  • Juris Doctorate through the Sturm College of Law
Application Information
  • Master of Social Work
  • Master of Arts in International Development, Human Rights, International Studies, or Public Policy
    • 66 credits in the MSW + 44 credits in the MA = 110 total credits
    • 66 credits in the MSW + 39 credits in the MPP = 105 total credits

For those with Advanced Standing in Social Work, please contact the University of Denver Office of Graduate Education.

  • Master of Public Policy
  • Juris Doctorate
    • 48 credits in MPP + 80 credits in JD = 128 credits

Joint Degrees

Master of Arts in International & Intercultural Communication
By combining courses from the Korbel School and the Department of Media, Film, and Journalism Studies, you'll build the cultural and communication skills needed for success in journalism, strategic messaging, and global communication. Through hands-on projects and access to internationally recognized experts, you'll gain practical experience and global insights to prepare for a dynamic international and intercultural communication career.
