Teaching Professor
Claude d'Estrée, M.T.S., J.D. is a Professor of International Law and Human Rights and a Teaching Professor. He has been at the University of Denver since 2002 starting with a three-way appointment at Sturm College of Law, the Department of Philosophy and Department of Religion before moving to the Korbel School. He was the founder and director of the Human Trafficking Center (2002-2021) and director of the Center on Human Rights Education (2008-2021). The Human Trafficking Center was the only two-year graduate level training program in the world. He has taught at Harvard University, George Mason University, and the University of Arizona. Before coming to DU he was at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, DC. He was also appointed as the first Buddhist Chaplain at Harvard University by H.H., the Dalai Lama and serves as the Buddhist Chaplain at the University of Denver.
