What's Out There? Mapping Sexuality Education for Students with Disabilities

Students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (SWIDD) are less likely to access sexual health education and experience increased sexual risk throughout their lifetimes. School psychologists, with their unique background in education and development, are well-equipped to directly or indirectly deliver developmentally appropriate sexual health education to SWIDD. This session will review the status of sexual education for SWIDD and engage practitioners in an analysis of available resources to reduce the sexual risk of this unique population.
