If there is any advice that I have for students, it is to build relationships with the amazing faculty at Korbel, let them guide and support you as they are eager to do so, and enjoy the company of the people you meet in class, as these relationships will span your professional career.
My advice to students: look around you. Your peers at DU today are future leaders in Denver, Washington, and around the world. Listen, learn from them, and build the bonds that will take you places together.
The flexibility of the Korbel graduate degree program allowed me to take electives well outside the core subject area of my degree. Doing so not only expanded my world view, but also provided me with a set of professional skills that have allowed me to successfully shift between a number of different career fields. The range of electives I was able to take as a Korbel graduate student developed me into a versatile and well rounded professional.
