Barry Hughes to Present at Congreso del Futuro

Dr. Barry Hughes will be presenting at the IV Congreso del Futuro held at the headquarters of the national congress in Santiago, Chile on January 16, 2014 at 9:30 am local time (5:30 am M​S​T). The theme for this year’s meeting is “Science, technology, humanities and citizenship: The Crossroads of the XXI Century.” The title of his presentation is “Chile in a Rapidly Transforming World: Opportunities and Challenges” and it discusses three areas of major transformation which will impact Chilean development going forward. These include human, social, and biophysical development and the presentation discusses important issues for policy-making in each of these thematic areas.
