ee Center staff featured at UNICEF Speaker Series

On February 8th, Pardee Center Director Jonathan Moyer and Financial and Program Officer Mickey Rafa presented at the UNICEF Speaker Series in Kampala, Uganda. They spoke on the report Estimating District GDP in Uganda, which provided an estimate of district level GDP in Uganda. The presentation explored the motivation, rationale, methodology, and results of the study, which uses a hybrid model combining district level agricultural, satellite night-time-lights, and grid-level population to estimate the distribution of economic production across Uganda’s 116 districts.
