Pardee Visits UN Agencies in New York

Pardee Senior Scientist and Mentor Barry Hughes and Research System Developer Steve Hedden traveled to New York July 6-8th for a series of workshops and panels. The first panel in which Barry participated was with others from the UN Human Development Report Office on their Statistical Advisory Panel. This panel included the Director of the Human Development Report Office (HRDs) Selim Jahan and Chief Statistician of the HRDs Milorad Kovacevic. On Friday July 7th Barry and Steve presented to 25-30 people from the UN Development Programme and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, both leading agencies on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Through these meetings the Pardee Center continues to build relationships with the UN and contribute modeling expertise to the efforts surrounding the SDGs.
