Our public policy programs offer students the opportunity to develop an understanding of how public policies relate to the world's most significant challenges while learning how to make a positive impact through public policy. Alumni hold positions locally, nationally and internationally, with governments, nonprofit organizations and private businesses, leveraging the network of one of the nation's leading schools for international studies.
Master's in Public Policy
Learn to analyze public policy goals, processes, and outcomes — and craft solutions for real-world problems.
This program is built around core public policy faculty expertise and also draws on the deep international policy faculty at Korbel and from across the DU community to offer a truly interdisciplinary and applied degree. Students learn alongside renowned policy experts and policymakers in both traditional classroom settings and experiential seminars.
Undergraduate Public Policy Major + Master's in Public Policy
We offer a bachelor's/master's program in public policy, which includes all the requirements of the major, plus 60 graduate-level credits.
As a student in the program, you will gain insight into the procedures and decision-making processes of local governments, and discover how to positively impact those processes. In addition to coursework and seminars, you will complete a capstone project analyzing and developing solutions for a real-world policy issue.
Undergraduate Public Policy Major/Minor
Develop an understanding of the world's most significant issues and learn how to make a positive impact through public policy.
As part of our public policy program, students pursue a second major in conjunction with their public policy studies, allowing a focus on an area of interest while gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for policy. Students can choose from programs such as history, international studies, sociology, economics and journalism.
