Kate teaches topics including human security, economic development, migration, and research methods.

Professional Biography

Kate is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Korbel School of International Studies. She holds a PhD in International Relations from American University in Washington DC, an MA from the University of Leiden, and a BA from McGill. She teaches courses at DU on topics surrounding development and human security. Her research interests include border security, migration and mobility, and transnational security cooperation.
