Korbel Remembers Madeleine Albright
For all of us at the Korbel School, Madeleine Albright was an inspiration. In many ways she embodied the best of America – daughter of a refugee, who rose to become the first female Secretary of State. She was a brilliant and tireless diplomat, prolific author, beloved professor, extraordinary public speaker and for many of us here at Korbel, our friend and greatest supporter. She loved Denver, she loved the University of Denver, and she loved the Korbel School.
Albright and Korbel: A Legacy
Madeleine Albright was the country’s first female secretary of state, but earlier in life she spent countless hours on DU’s campus. Her father, Josef Korbel, founded and served as the first dean of what is now the Josef Korbel School of International Studies.
