Barry Hughes Engaging Ideas Interview

In January, Senior Scientist and Mentor Barry Hughes was interviewed by Dr. James Griesemer, Director of DU's Strategic Issues Program. The Engaging Ideas series, through interviews with DU faculty and other experts, examines emerging trends, new findings and innovative thinking from the sciences, engineering, humanities, business, politics, law and other fields. In his interview, Dr. Hughes explores long-term prospects for humanity, how we think about the global future, and the International Futures (IFs) model, the tool he developed to help explore, understand, and shape alternative futures of global change and human development.
