Josef Korbel School Alumnus Awarded Fulbright Scholarship

Scott Bleiweis (MA, International Studies, 2011) has been awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program scholarship to Bulgaria for an English Teaching Assistantship. During the 2013-14 academic year Bleiweis will teach high school English in the town of Vidin, Bulgaria.

In addition to exploring the diverse cultures and sights of Bulgaria, Bleiweis plans to get involved with local civic groups to learn how they develop and operate.

"I am proud to take part in Fulbright's international education and cultural exchange program, which for the upcoming school year will send 1,700 Americans to over 150 countries," said Bleiweis.

"I look forward to supporting the Fulbright mission of increasing mutual understanding between people in the United States and those in other countries.
