The Josef Korbel School of International Studies welcomed an incoming class of 214 MA candidates and five PhD candidates at the annual Exploring Korbel new student orientation.

This year, Exploring Korbel began on September 3 and involves three days of scheduled events.  These include ample opportunities for students to mix and mingle with their new colleagues, as well as informative sessions to learn about topics ranging from the rigorous academic life at the School and the services provided by the Office of Career and Professional Development.

Tuesday, Sept. 3rd

  • 8 a.m. - Registration/check in (west lawn, Ben Cherrington Hall)
  • 8:15 - 9:30 a.m. - Welcome breakfast on the lawn with current staff and faculty
  • 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Breakout Sessions Regarding Certificate Programs (optional)

  • 9 a.m. – Noon - Career and Professional Development Workshop Orientation

  • 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. Check-in/Registration with Career Staff Cyber Café
  • 1 – 4 p.m.  - Career and Professional Development Workshop Orientation
