Dale Rothman participates in Oxfam Future of Agriculture

Last month, the Pardee Center’s Dale Rothman traveled to Peru to participate in Oxfam’s ongoing Future of Agriculture project, which is part of its larger GROW campaign. Rothman played a support role as participants engaged in narrative-based scenario workshops in Lima to investigate issues of food security and food justice, and later in Cuzco, where the discussion centered on issues for smallholder farmers. Participants included nonprofits, government officials and academics from Peruvian universities. Pending sufficient funding, the International Futures team hopes to continue to work with Oxfam and with Peru’s CEPLAN to develop a sub-national breakdown of Peru in the IFs modeling system.
