IFs team trains members of the Western Cape Provincial Government

Members of the Frederick S. Pardee Center traveled to South Africa the first week of December for a week-long training workshop with members of the Western Cape Provincial Government. The training marked the completion of a data collection project conducted chiefly by Pardee Center research assistants Carey Neill, Graham Emde, Mickey Rafa, and Patrick McLennan. Thanks to the invaluable assistance from our partners at the Institute for Security Studies, who helped host the training session, our team delivered the Western Cape with a one-of-a-kind, provincial-level forecasting tool using the International Futures modeling system. Our center has planned additional trainings with the Western Cape Provincial Government over the next year.
