Jonathan Moyer Presents at Strategic Studies Summit in Thailand
Last week, Pardee Center Associate Director Jonathan Moyer traveled to Bangkok to participate in the Strategic Studies Summit, hosted in part by the Strategic Studies Network. During his presentation, “Revolution or Evolution: Some Implications of Unconventional Gas Production,” he discussed potential scenarios that may emerge as advanced energy production technologies, such as hydraulic fracturing, are rolled out worldwide. According to Moyer, some of the biggest players in the global energy sector, such as Saudi Arabia or China, will see the most impact—negative and positive—from global changes brought about by increased shale gas production. He also shared insights from the African Futures Project’s latest policy brief on shale gas production in South Africa.
