Jonathan Moyer travels to South Africa to expand regional projects
In August, Associate Director Jonathan Moyer traveled to South Africa to address a number of ongoing initiatives with local governments and IGOs. At the start of his trip, he led a five-day training for the Western Cape Provincial Government on the IFs model. He also spent two days in the province of Gauteng, where he worked with the provincial government and the Gauteng City-Region Observatory (GCRO) to continue the development of its Gauteng Vision 2055 plan. This partnership with the Gauteng province has led to an analytic piece authored by various people affiliated with the African Futures Project. On the final day of his trip, Moyer and Institute for Security Studies representatives also met with officials at The New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) to discuss the organization’s ongoing International Futures projects.
