Rafa presents Pardee Institute research at American Statistical Association meeting
On April 20, Mickey Rafa presented “Using Nighttime Lights for Poverty Analysis in Uganda” at the Spring Meeting of the Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the American Statistical Association in Boulder, Colorado. This research, which was sponsored by The Learning Contract (USAID-Uganda), explores the effectiveness of nighttime lights in evaluating poverty at small geographic scales. This research represents the continued collaboration between the University of Denver’s Geography Department and the Pardee Institute.
