COVID-19: The Future of African Development Systems

This project is part of the Pardee Center’s long-running collaboration with UNDP. This report examines the effects COVID-19 will have on macro-economic development in 10 African countries by 2030 and 2050. It quantified the effects of COVID-19 on long-term mortality, economic growth and trade. the report, as well as a video can be found here. The research was conducted together with ISS and GIBS, both based in South Africa. Research results were presented for UNDP RBA, as well as a high-level presentation organized by Chatham House.
