Recent contributions from Frederick S. Pardee’s Estate to the Pardee Institute for International Futures (formerly, the Pardee Center for International Futures) total nearly $10 million and will further expand the depth, breadth, and reach of the promise of IFs and other novel datasets and tools that we created. In light of these new gifts, we want to recognize Mr. Pardee and express our deep gratitude for his unwavering and awesome generosity. During his lifetime and, recently, through a gift from his estate, Mr. Pardee's largesse to our Institute totals nearly $25 million.

For 17 years, we have led the charge in analyzing our world and enhancing human well-being. The work of our Institute could not have been possible without Mr. Pardee, who seeded the Pardee Center, now Institute. Mr. Pardee’s original gifts enabled the University to host and continually develop International Futures (or IFs), an integrated assessment model, originally developed by founding Pardee Institute director Barry Hughes. IFs is a free, open-source tool that helps users understand global systems and plan for the future. Fred's original gifts also made possible the Pardee Institute’s flagship work on Patterns of Human Progress.
